Welcome
to
the heart of the Ozarks:
Pilots Point Airpark
Pilot's Point is Missouris newest residential airpark community.
It represents the dream of its owner, pilot Darrin Adkins, who wanted
a place to escape the hectic pace of everyday life, and a place to
retire and relax. Pilots Point was always meant to be a small,
intimate community of aviators. With five waterfront lots on Table
Rock Lake, one community access lot and eight interior lots, the community
will be owned by the residents. The community lot, allowing lake access
for all residents and a future walking path along the lake and around
the property are but a couple of the amenities and future plans. Large
areas of meadows and woods will be left undeveloped to insure the
natural beauty remains.
Many of us aviators have dreamed of retiring to a community where
we can be close to and participate in aviation interest after retirement
living with your plane as some would say. Pilots
Point is just such a place, uniquely situated on a beautiful peninsula
between what was the White River and the Kings River. You can be just
far enough away from the town yet close enough to enjoy the comforts
of modern life. Table Rock Lake, the real reason so many come to this
part of the world will be on your door step, literally.
Table Rock Lake
Table Rock Lake area boasts some of the best fishing in the nation,
particularly for bass. However, nearly any water sport you can think
of is available on the lake, and with over 800 miles of pristine shoreline,
there are lots of places to explore and enjoy, even across the state
lines.
Shell Knob
Life moves a little slower in Shell Knob. Situated in the middle of
the Mark Twain national Forest, with about 8,000 fulltime residents
and 3,000 with vacation homes. Shell Knob is just large enough to
have all the necessary amenities, yet small enough to get away from
it all. We have full service grocery stores, lumber yards, a dozen
restaurants, numerous specialty shops, 24 resorts, medical and dental
services, 2 golf courses, and 2 marinas. Socially, there are many
churches, clubs and civic organizations. You are never out of contact
with local dial-up internet access, cable television and satellite
services, though most of the residents chose to just relax and enjoy
the beauty of the Ozarks. |
