Daydreaming,

As a younger man I was forever being admonished for daydreaming in school. Well in as much as daydreaming did not serve me well in the public school system, it has certainly spawned many interesting life experiences. I owe my interest in aviation to my uncle who introduced me to the fascinating world of flight when I was twelve years old. He had bought me two RC Modeler magazines and told me not to ask any more questions until I had read them cover to cover. Well, I not only read them cover to cover but I wore the numbers off the pages thumbing through those magazines…and I was forever hooked.

Since that time I have survived/participated in military aviation in the Marines, experienced the complex manufacturing process of building transport category aircraft. Worked as an Airframe & Power-plant mechanic, with IA privileges, charter pilot and check airman, corporate pilot, and along the way I was even able to collect eleven world speed records in the Citation X. Finally tried to settle down to fly for the airlines but 911 intervened so I’m back flying corporate for now. I still daydream, but now I daydream of being at home on the lake in the company of family, friends and fellow aviators; even while I’m on the other side of the planet flying into places most people can’t find on the map.

This community that Mr. Williams and I are trying to create may not be for everyone, but once you experience the clean living and pleasant nature of this area it’s hard to get it out of your mind. Come see us, the air is always clean, the people are always friendly and the welcome mat is always out.
